The operative principles for child protection

Save the Children’s operative principles concern preventing the exploitation and abuse of children.

As our name suggests, Save the Children works to ensure that children can safely participate in all activities of the organisation. Children must be able to be protected from all forms of exploitation and abuse.

Save the Children International has drawn up child protection principles on preventing child exploitation and abuse. The document gives instructions on how we aim on the one hand to prevent child exploitation and abuse in our own activities and, on the other, how we act if such things happen.
