Save the Children

Save the Children was founded by Eglantyne Jebb in the United Kingdom in 1919. Save the Children is the world’s leading independent organisation for children. We work with 25,000 dedicated staff across 120 countries. We save children’s lives; we fight for their rights; we help them fulfill their potential.

Save the Children is made up of Save the Children International and 30 member organisations raising funds and running programs domestically and/or internationally. Save the Children International is based in London.

All the member organisations share one name, one strategy and one ambition for children: we believe in a world in which all children survive, have the chance to learn, and are protected from abuse, neglect and exploitation. Save the Children’s joint efforts consist of long-term development co-operation, advocacy work, and emergency relief operations.
